  • Unfortunately, you cannot apply for a REAL ID at our office.  You can apply for the REAL ID at the driver’s license center on Queen Street in York or the driver’s license center in Gettysburg. They’ll process the transaction and you’ll receive your REAL ID product in the mail. If you would like your REAL ID immediately, you will need to go to the driver’s license center in Lancaster.

  • You can renew your driver’s license (excluding CDL) at any of our offices immediately. At our office located at 1120 Roosevelt Avenue in York, you can also have your photo taken. Please note that the Photo License Center’s hours vary from our hours of operation.

  • Yes (York only) just bring your camera card. If you haven’t renewed yet, we can renew your license, give you a camera card, and then you will proceed to the back to have your photo taken. Please note that the Photo License Center’s hours vary from our hours of operation.

  • We can process your duplicate driver’s license and issue an interim card to drive on (excluding CDL).  It’s a yellow card until you receive your new driver’s license in the mail.  Please bring an expired driver’s license or a passport.  You may also bring your social security card and birth certificate. 

    NOTE: If you need a replacement driver’s license right away, you will need to go to an actual PennDOT driver’s license center, either the one on Queen Street in York or the one in Gettysburg.

  • We can notarize most documents, such as a Power of Attorney, Last Will and Testament, divorce agreement, mortgage document. We can also provide witnesses, if needed.  Please bring the document(s) and your valid ID(s) with you. All signers must be present.

  • To apply for a duplicate title, all owners of the vehicle will need to be present with their driver’s license/ID. We’ll also need either the VIN, plate #, or title # for the vehicle. The duplicate title is processed instantly, and you will receive it by mail from PennDOT within 7-10 days. Once you have the duplicate title, you can transfer ownership of the vehicle.

  • Please bring the following items to our office:

     - Original title

     - Lien release, if applicable

     - Proof that you have owned the vehicle for 6 months or longer to avoid paying sales tax (issue date on title)

     - PA driver’s license/ID for all vehicle owners

     - PA insurance card in owner’s name

     - Proof of name change, if the name on your title doesn’t match the name on your PA driver’s license

     - Odometer reading

     - VIN verification – Any vehicle entering the Commonwealth needs to have the VIN verified. You may bring the vehicle to our office. Another option is to have an MV-41 form filled out by an inspection station.

  • Yes, we can assist you with registering your vehicle in PA. First, we will need to fax a title request to your finance company.  Please visit our office with the VIN for your vehicle and Account # and Fax # for your finance company. We will create and fax the title request letter to your finance company. Your finance company will then mail the title to our office. When we receive the title, we will need the following to issue your PA registration plate:

     - PA driver’s license/ID for all vehicle owners

     - PA insurance card in owner’s name

     - Proof of name change, if the name on your title doesn’t match the name on your PA driver’s license

     - Odometer reading

     - VIN verification – Any vehicle entering the Commonwealth needs to have the VIN verified.  You may bring the vehicle to our office.

  • Please stop by our office to renew your vehicle registration. Please bring your driver’s license/ID and the insurance card for the vehicle.

  • A vehicle qualifies for antique registration when it was manufactured 25 years prior to the current year, is not used for daily transportation, and is maintained in or restored to a condition which is substantially in conformance with manufacturer specifications. The registration is permanent, and inspection is not required with antique registration. To apply for antique registration all owners will need to be present with their driver’s license/ID.  You will also need your title, odometer reading, and insurance card.

  • If you only have an electronic version on your phone, you’ll be able to email it over to the title clerk that you are working with when you come into our office.
